The village of La Croix-Valmer

Nestled at the foot of the Maures Hills, in La Croix-Valmer-Cavalaire-sur-Mer Bay – a little natural paradise in the Saint-Tropez Gulf – the village of La Croix-Valmer gently slopes right down to the sea. Relaxation and leisure activities are the order of the day here, including mountain biking, sailing, deep-sea diving, boat trips, beach volley and more – or simply chilling out! Walking, cycling and riding enthusiasts in particular will enjoy the waymarked trails. La Croix-Valmer has been awarded the “Station Classée Tourisme” label thanks to its varied tourist offering in accommodation, entertainment, transport and accessibility, as well as for environmental quality.

Beaches in the vicinity

there are magnificent fine sandy beaches just a few minutes from Hotel La Bienvenue: Débarquement and Sylvabelle beaches, both 2km from the hotel; Gigaro beach, on the edge of the coastal conservation area, 4km from the village; and just a little further away, the completely unspoiled Place Brouis, as well as Héraclée and Briande beaches. La Croix-Valmer beaches have been flying the Blue Flag for a number of years, with a dedicated monitoring service to check bathing water quality.

Saint-Tropez

This magical town, known worldwide for its glamour, luxury fashion shops, extravagant yachts and great night life, is located just 12km from Hotel La Bienvenue. Saint-Tropez is also legendary for its beauty, unspoiled nature, beaches, small creeks and great walks. Featuring seventeen listed monuments and sites of outstanding natural beauty, the famous Var peninsula is also a wonderful place for sea lovers, as well as history, art and heritage enthusiasts.

Ramatuelle

Located 7km from our hotel, Ramatuelle is a picturesque medieval village overlooking Pampelonne Bay, listed as a site of outstanding natural beauty. The peaceful village offers a striking contrast to its fashionable Pampelonne beach – one of the most famous in the world, and at the origins of the fame of St. Tropez. While the beach has attracted show-biz celebrities and jet-setters for over fifty years now, Ramatuelle also features secluded creeks, monuments (including the Saracen gate and old gaols), and hidden treasures: Camarat Lighthouse, the remains of a Napoleon artillery battery, La Briande dolmen, and more.

Sainte-Maxime

Located 15km from Hotel La Bienvenue, Sainte-Maxime is a lively town all year round. You can practice a whole range of water sports and activities there, including jet ski, boat trips, diving, deep-sea observation trips and even parasailing. Sightseers will be thrilled by the remarkable cultural heritage, which features a combination of local traditions and stage arts (photography museum, Tour Carré museum, art galleries, and more).
